Board Members

Michael D. Weinberg

Chairman of the Board. Mr. Weinberg joined our Board of Directors in 2009. Since April 2007, Mr. Weinberg has served as the managing member of BirdDog Capital, LLC, a holding company involved in retail and restaurant franchises, and as a consultant to Carlson Capital, L.P., an investment management business. From November 1999 to April 2007, Mr. Weinberg was Director of Special Projects at Carlson Capital, L.P. From January 1996 to November 1999, Mr. Weinberg was Director of Investments at Richmont Capital Partners, L.P., the investment affiliate of privately-held Mary Kay Cosmetics. Mr. Weinberg holds a B.A. degree from the Plan II Liberal Arts Honors Program and a J.D. degree, both from the University of Texas at Austin.

William T. Clifford

Mr. Clifford joined our Board of Directors in 2005. Mr. Clifford is a seasoned executive with more than 35 years experience in the leadership and growth of major enterprise companies. In his career at Gartner, he led a successful financial restructuring and globalization effort, spearheaded a transition into consulting services and created its first effective Internet strategy, serving in the role first as COO and then moving into the President and CEO role. Prior to Gartner, Mr. Clifford was president of two operating divisions and substantially grew revenues and customer retention levels at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Inc., where he also served as Corporate Vice President of Information Systems Development overseeing a staff of 700 I.T. professionals and a budget of $400 million. Mr. Clifford held top positions at Applied Data Research, one of the largest companies in the independent software industry, where he directed all worldwide operations as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Clifford received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.

Michael Fields

Mr. Fields jonined our Board of Directors in 2005. He is Chief Executive Officer of KANA Software. With more than 30 years’ management experience at enterprise software companies, Mr. Fields has a track record of leadership at large corporations including Oracle U.S.A, where he served as president; Applied Data Research; and Burroughs Corporation. In addition, he was a founder, chairman, and CEO of OpenVision Technologies which he led to a public offering in 1996 and acquisition by VERITAS in 1997. Mr. Fields joined KANA in September, 2005. Under his leadership, in 2006 KANA achieved its first annual operating profit in company history. Currently, Mr. Fields serves on the board of directors of Imation Corporation [Nasdaq: IMN], and has also served on the advisory board of the Ford Motor Company Customer Service Division from 1999 through 2001. He began his career in the technology industry in 1964 in the U.S. Air Force.

John Nemelka

Mr. Nemelka joined our Board of Directors in 2005. Mr. Nemelka founded NightWatch Capital Group, LLC, an investment management business, and has served as its Managing Principal since its incorporation in July 2001. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Nemelka was a Principal at Graham Partners, a private investment firm and affiliate of the privately-held Graham Group. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Nemelka was a Consultant to the Graham Group. Mr. Nemelka holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Stephanie Vinella

Ms. Vinella joined our Board of Directors in 2004. Since October 2007, Ms. Vinella has served as Chief Financial Officer of Panasas, Inc., a computer hardware company. From January 2005 to September 2007, Ms. Vinella served as Chief Financial Officer of Nextance Inc., a provider of enterprise contract management solutions. From November 1999 to August 2004, Ms. Vinella served as Chief Financial Officer of AlphaBlox Corporation, a business analytic software company. From 1990 to 1999, Ms. Vinella served as Chief Financial Officer of Edify Corporation, a software company. Ms. Vinella holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University.
